Rose produces video messaging for leading olive oil brand while observing strict Russian stay-at-home orders
Rose, a leading marketing agency, created and produced a video message for the Italian olive oil brand Filippo Berio about the importance of being strong together, while surviving in self-isolation during the COVID-19 pandemia. The clip was conceived in such a way as to be produced while observing strict Russian isolation orders.
This is a warm story about a young lady and a young man living in an apartment tower many floors apart while in Covid-19 quarantine. Yet they prepare a meal together — without physically meeting, and without the use of electronics. The video is accompanied by an inspiring appeal from Filippo Berio: ”Though these uncertain times keep us apart, we must be strong together. Be safe. Stay healthy. We’ll get through this.”
The challenge for Rose was to create appropriate and sensitive messaging for the brand while also finding a way to produce it while observing strict Russian shelter-in-place orders. Rose wrote the script, found a filmmaker and his girlfriend staying together in Moscow who could provide their apartment as a backdrop and act as cameraman and talent (and the good fortune of she, being a professional make-up artist). Pre- and post-production were done remotely, including voice-over talent in Sochi, together with agency supervision and client approvals via video calls and Zoom.
“It's a challenging way to produce content. But we all have adapt to these difficult times and be extra creative with our ideas ...as well as with the production process,” said Rose General Director, Galina Savina.
